Overview The John H. Sykes College of Business is an integral part of a 100-acre university campus nestled in the heart of Tampa. As a comprehensive institution, The University of Tampa provides a full spectrum of resources, qualified faculty members, and modern facilities for graduate business students. All classes are held in the state-of-the art Sykes College of Business building.
Location The University of Tampa, founded in 1931, serves one of the nation's most vibrant regional economies. Located in one of the top-ten fastest-growing areas in the nation, the university offers students numerous job and internship opportunities with industries such as financial services, computer technology, international trade and tourism, telecommunications, and others.
Academic Program The College of Business provides a challenging educational experience with close interaction among students, faculty and staff members, and the greater business community.
The College of Business offers seven graduate business programs:
- Full-time day MBA, designed so that students can complete the program in 16-24 months.
- Part-time evening MBA, designed for working professionals to complete the program at their own pace.
- Saturday MBA, designed to offer a convenient schedule for working professionals seeking to earn a general MBA degree.
- Master of Science in accounting (MSA), designed to satisfy the state of Florida's academic requirements for the CPA examination. Students can attend part time or full time.
- Master of Science in finance (MS-FIN), designed to prepare students for careers in the finance industry. Students can attend part time or full time.
- Master of Science in innovation management (MS-IM), designed to provide a management business degree for technology professionals. Students can attend part time in the evenings. The MS-IM is a cohort program.
- Master of Science in marketing (MS-MKT), designed for marketing professionals seeking a graduate degree in their area of professional specialty. Students can attend part or full-time.
Part-time and full-time MBA students can elect to take one of nine concentrations: accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, information systems management, international business, management, marketing, or nonprofit management and innovation.

Tuition 2007-2008 tuition is $450 per credit hour.
Scholarships/funding available Graduate Assistantships are available each academic year to select full-time graduate business students.

- Completed application
- $40 application fee
- Official transcripts of all previous college work received directly from each institution
- Two professional reference forms
- Résumé
- Personal statement
- GMAT score (required for all graduate business programs; students with a degree higher than bachelor's are exempt from taking the test)
- Individual interviews are recommended
