Nanyang Technological University
Nanyang Business School

Hobsons MBA - The Nanyang Business School is the only business school in Southeast Asia being ranked in World Top 100 by the Economist Intelligence Unit (2004-6) and Financial Times (2007). Its Nanyang MBA programme offers a global perspective with an Asian focus, keeping our students abreast of the latest trends in business and technology. As an industry-oriented business school, we create opportunities for students to network with business leaders and entrepreneurs. They will also have the flexibility of specialising in an area that adds depth to their portfolio or graduating with a general MBA that provides a broader business outlook.

Global perspective
The global perspective of The Nanyang MBA comes not only from the use of international case studies, but also from the diverse views offered by the high proportion of foreign participants and faculty members. This international exposure is further broadened through a student exchange programme with our 50 partner institutions worldwide.

Asian focus
Our Asian Business Case Centre, set up in recognition of the need for high-quality business research in the Asia-Pacific region, is a leading producer of Asian case studies. These Asian case studies, written by faculty members at Nanyang Business School and top universities around the world, are widely used in our MBA courses.

Overseas business study missions
The overseas business study missions, a key feature of the MBA programme, provide our students with invaluable opportunities for experiencing diversity in business culture and practices, and forging links and networks for business contacts, both regionally and internationally. To date, participants have been to 25 countries all over the world.

Double master's programmes
A unique feature of our MBA is our double master's programmes with the University of St Gallen in Switzerland, the ESSEC Business School in France and Waseda University in Japan. Participants on these programmes gain the best of both Asian and European managerial skills and perspectives.

Innovative curriculum with flexibility
As they chart their career paths, students will enjoy the flexibility of doing either a general or specialised MBA, and the option of selecting half courses to add more breadth to their portfolio. The choice of and area of specialisation is a highly unique and valued feature of the programme. The areas of specialism are accountancy, finance, strategy, international business, marketing, technology, international studies and knowledge management.

Strong industry and alumni links
Because The Nanyang MBA is widely regarded as a pragmatic and industry-orientated programme, guest lectures by senior executives from the industry are a common feature. We draw on our extensive links with industry and government, as well as our extensive alumni network, to make this happen. Such links are also vital in our career development and placement efforts for our graduating participants.

'Ranked top MBA in southeast Asia and best in Singapore by the Economist Intelligence Unit (2004-2006) and The Financial Times (2007).'
