Howard MBA...Setting the Standards Founded in 1867, Howard University is one of only 88 universities classified as a Doctoral/Research University-Extensive education institution by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. Since 1970, the School of Business has produced more than 1,000 distinguished MBA graduates prepared to meet the challenges of the global business environment.
Achieving Results For five consecutive years (2003-2007), the program has received top honors. Once again, the Wall Street Journal ranked the Howard University MBA Program among the top three business schools for "Hiring Minorities." The program also continues to be ranked number one for "Greatest Opportunities for Minority Students" by the Princeton Review. Classroom Diversity Students hail from many parts of the United States, Canada, Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean. Their post-baccalaureate work experiences include education, health services, economics, engineering, marketing, financial services, consulting, and real estate.
Program Options Students may choose to earn a general MBA or specialize in entrepreneurship, finance, human resources, information systems, international business, marketing, or supply chain management. Howard also offers joint- and dual-degree programs in accounting, engineering, law, pharmacy, and medicine.
The curriculum is supplemented by the Leadership Development Series, featuring renowned experts addressing issues such as corporate ethics and social responsibility, decision-making under pressure, and designing a career. Howard's well-rounded students are involved in various student organizations, community activities, and corporate-sponsored programs such as entrepreneurship, marketing, investment, and management consulting.
Students may attend the full-time program, completing degree requirements in two years, or as working adults, students may enroll in the "accelerated" or "traditional" part-time programs, completing the degree in three or four years, respectively.
