MBA Program

The Department of Business and Information Technology offers an exciting and unique MBA program with full-time, part-time, and distance options. Technology and enterprise development interweave the functional business disciplines together.

Course Structure

The MBA requires a total of 36 credit hours and is offered in three parts as follows:

  • MBA-integrated core classes
    The MBA Core classes totals 18 credit hours and cover leadership, human resources, economics, marketing, strategy, data analysis, accounting, finance, operations, management information systems and ERP. Students work in teams on a comprehensive business cases, live simulations, and real company assigned projects.
  • Internship or practicum
    A six-credit-hour internship, practicum, or research project is required for the program. These credits typically take place during the summer semester and always follow the completion of the core classes.
  • Specialization
    Students choose an area which is comprised of nine credit hours out of 12 hours of electives. Students may choose from Marketing, Enterprise Resource Planning, Human Computer Interaction, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, and Information Technology Management.

Length of program:

Full-time students may complete the program in 12-¬24 months depending on course availability and prerequisites required. Part-time/distance students may complete the program in 24-36 months depending on the course availability, prerequisites required and the student's scheduling and program plan preferences.

Fees:

The cost of the MBA program is $520.50 per credit hour for in-state students and $832.80 per credit hour for out-of-state students beginning summer 2008. The cost of the program with fees comes to approximately $20,000 for in-state students and approximately $30,000 for out-of-state students. Prerequisites:

Students without an undergraduate business degree are required to meet all business prerequisites. New Business Essentials courses, 1.5 credit hours each, are now offered in a short condensed format each semester and fulfill the MBA prerequisite requirement.
