'Getting the most out of an MBA depends largely on how much you put into it - the Duke Goethe programme facilitates maximum contribution and collaboration, resulting in an incredible pace of learning and development.'
A good reputation The Duke Goethe EMBA has high expectations to live up to from the reputation of its founding partners, the Fuqua Business School at Duke University and the Goethe Business School at Frankfurt University. Not only has it lived up to these expectations, it has, in my view, significantly exceeded them. Getting the most out of an MBA depends largely on how much you put into it - the Duke Goethe programme facilitates maximum contribution and collaboration, resulting in an incredible pace of learning and development. In particular, I feel confident that both faculty and the administrative staff are helping me in achieving the most from the EMBA while I manage my busy, successful career - and a private life.
A cutting-edge education The Duke Goethe programme is excellently supported by state-of-the-art technology. This includes online 'chat' sessions, real-time sharing and co-development of presentations over the Internet, class newsgroups, and lectures delivered by multimedia applications, all underlined by Duke's Web-based platform for the sharing of information. With a brief period of training and top-notch support by the Duke Goethe faculty team, we have all become seasoned experts in using this technology to maximise our learning experience. 'Distance learning' should be renamed 'connected learning'. I have experienced a number of real-life situations where I have been able to apply skills that I have co-developed from the EMBA. Not only does this please my (sponsoring) employer, but also it gives me the satisfaction to see theory and practical solutions from the Duke Goethe programme giving me the chance to deliver value to my clients and my work colleagues, as well as to gain more enjoyment out of my daily work.
Final thoughts The Duke Goethe experience is driven by the enthusiasm and commitment of the students, devoted faculty staff, and an amazing marketing and selection process targeted at building a class of truly dedicated achievers from diverse backgrounds. I feel extremely proud to be part of such a strong team of classmates and faculty staff.
