Overview
The California State University (CSU) is a twenty-three campus, statewide system of comprehensive and polytechnic universities and the California Maritime Academy. The CSU awards undergraduate and graduate degrees in more than 200 subject areas, employs 40,000 faculty and staff, and serves more than 350,000 students. Located on 346 acres in Carson and serving the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area, the Dominguez Hills campus was established in 1960.
The College of Business Administration and Public Policy at CSUDH offers a comprehensive MBA program designed to prepare students for leadership roles in business, local communities, and the global economy. The curriculum is focused on providing students with the tools for solving business problems and making decisions within a strategic framework. The 18- to 24-month MBA program at CSUDH combines traditional lectures with individual and team case studies to blend problem-solving and decision-making skills with team-based skills. An international perspective is evidenced by a student body that represents countries worldwide.
In addition to a general business education that combines academic quality with real-world relevance, participants can focus on concentration areas in finance, marketing, management, information systems, human resources, international business, global logistics and supply chain management, and entrepreneurship.
Program Choices: Campus or Online Classes For many professionals, being away from a job or being unable to meet employment travel requirements is not an option. In addition to the traditional campus MBA program, the college, a recognized leader in distance learning and online education, offers the MBA program online, including prerequisite coursework, if needed, as well as all concentration option courses. Online lecture materials, simulations, and virtual group assignments play an important role in the learning model. Students are impressed with the richness of the distance learning option for the CSUDH MBA as a virtual extension of the classroom with online classes taught by the same faculty teaching in the campus program.
Accreditation The CSUDH MBA program is nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and is also a candidate for accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB).
