Location and Environment
The university/s suburban campus is located just ten minutes from downtown in Indiana's capital city, which is known as the "Crossroads of America." With a population of more than 1 million people, metropolitan Indianapolis is the thriving center of business, government, entertainment, and culture in Indiana. The downtown area hosts countless cultural events, such as the annual Greek Festival, the Broad Ripple Art Fair, and the huge Indy Jazz Fest at Military Park. Enjoy top-notch theater venues such as the historic Indianapolis Repertory Theatre, shop at Circle Centre mall, or visit one of the many great museums in town. Indianapolis offers an endless number of cultural, entertainment, and dining options. Indianapolis is also home to the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers. The Indianapolis 500 draws some 300,000 spectators annually (it's the world's largest sporting event) and NASCAR's Allstate 400 at the Brickyard adds to Indy's racing laurels.
