Established in 1890 by the United Methodist Church, Texas Wesleyan University offers the traditional liberal arts academics--English, fine arts, psychology, the sciences--as well as some nontraditional courses of study. Students can minor in Recreation Diving Management (SCUBA diving) or train to be a nurse anesthetist. Our School of Education, both undergraduate and graduate, has been providing exceptional teachers and administrators to the Metroplex and beyond since the university's founding. The School of Business Administration and Professional Programs offers a full program of business courses in an accessible schedule with day, evening, weekend, and accelerated courses. Our nurse anesthesia program, offering both master's and doctoral degrees, is one of the largest in the country.
Texas Wesleyan University offers two graduate business programs: Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Master in Management (MiM). The MBA program is an applied program that integrates the traditional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the management abilities demanded by today's companies. The MiM program is a Master in Science program, also an applied program, which focuses on management and public administration courses. Our combination of weeknight, online, and Saturday classes allows students to more easily balance the demands of career, family, and education, and permit those from diverse occupations and backgrounds to earn an advanced degree with minimal interruption to their lives. The classes are small and the personal approach that we offer are dedicated to your success.
The main campus is located just five miles from downtown Fort Worth, on one of the highest points in the city. The Texas Wesleyan School of Law, located in downtown Fort Worth, was established in 1992 and is fully accredited by the American Bar Association. A satellite site in Burleson, Texas, gives residents of Johnson County, southern Tarrant County, and the surrounding area the opportunity to attend classes closer to home.
Our students enjoy the prestige and personal attention associated with attending a private university. Our campus is personal and accessible, yet offers many opportunities in the world beyond, including jobs, internships, and community service. We value direct relationships between students and faculty; that's why we don't believe in using teaching assistants. Our small class sizes allow these relationships between faculty and students to flourish.
We encourage you to take the opportunity to explore all that Texas Wesleyan University has to offer.
