Overview Brandeis International Business School (IBS) is a pioneering school dedicated to preparing students for the careers of the global economy in international business, economics, and finance. We teach state-of-the-art theory and immerse students in international experiences, connecting them to best practice in business and policy.
An Exceptional School We are an exceptional school for several reasons:
- The Brandeis advantage: Brandeis - our parent university - is the youngest of America's leading private research universities. This is an intellectually exciting place; we rank among America's top universities. Located on a wooded campus in suburban Boston, Brandeis has 3,200 undergraduate and 1,100 graduate students, offering programs in more than 40 fields.
- International to the core: We are truly focused on the global economy. From a unique introductory course on the 'Global Economic Environment' to advanced electives, the IBS experience is thoroughly international. More than half of our students come from Europe, Asia, and Latin America, and international experiences are built into our programs in partnership with major foreign schools and companies.
- World-class faculty: Our faculty includes not only distinguished researchers in international business, economics, and finance, but also leading practitioners in banking, investments, and consulting. Classes are interactive, informal. and typically small, and professors are accessible to their students.
- Corporate connections: Many senior executives (and younger alumni in business) visit the school each semester through our CEO forums and informal meetings with classes. Our courses work with businesses on current problems, and a board of overseers, consisting of business leaders, guides our overall strategy.
- Boston, an academic capital: Seven major universities and 250,000 students are located in the greater Boston area. You can cross-register among schools and enjoy an extraordinary wealth of activities, clubs, restaurants, and sports targeted at students. Boston is also an important center of finance, technology, and consulting.
