Hobsons MBA - ESSEC Business School's mission is to educate men and women with exceptional potential for positions of leadership in the business community and society at large. Created in 1907, ESSEC's programmes attract some 3,700 students each year and about 5,000 executives. The main campus is located 30 minutes from Paris. ESSEC also has an executive education campus at La Défense, the heart of Paris's business district. The new Singapore campus opened to MBA students in 2006. Recently published French business school rankings place ESSEC at the top of French business schools, recognition for its innovative approach to management education and the quality of its research.

The MBA programmes
ESSEC MBA
This full-time flexible programme (15-24 months) integrates professional experience within the curriculum with a European and international focus. It is a perfect option for those seeking a career with French, European or multinational firms. The curriculum can be followed entirely in English.

It has a diverse student body composed of students from the extremely competitive grande école preparatory cycle, engineers, attorneys, political scientists, economists and others. The MBA offers a customised curriculum containing two-thirds of elective courses that allows students to choose from among a large number of fields, including luxury brand management, urban economics, real estate, health management, consumer goods, retailing strategy, negotiation,
e-business, entrepreneurship, sports marketing and social entrepreneurship. It also offers a work-study option, whereby European nationals under 26 can choose an alternating work-and-study model, with sponsoring firms paying tuition fees and a salary to the student 'apprentice'.

IMHI MBA in International Hospitality Management
This full-time MBA is offered in a 'two-track' format: a one-year track for experienced applicants and a two-year track for younger ones.
Participants benefit from the excellent teaching of the ESSEC faculty members and hospitality experts, an international culture (with students from over 25 countries), partnerships with leading industry companies (EuroDisney, Accor and Restaurants/Brasseries Flo, among others),
a dedicated career service and a strong alumni network around the globe. The programme is taught in English.

MBA in International Luxury Brand Management
This full-time MBA trains future leaders for the international luxury and prestige industry. It is the only MBA programme of its kind in the world, which is offered near Paris, one of the world's leading centres of this industry. International partnerships with luxury and prestige firms, and corporate guest speakers provide students with an in-depth knowledge of corporate strategies. The programme is taught in English.

ESSEC-Mannheim Executive MBA
According to AACSB International, this programme is 'impressive, highly professional and strongly academic'.

It offers two job-compatible formats for full-time executives who are aiming for upper-management positions:

    • A weekend track taught in French and English that lasts twenty-two months, made up of thirty-two weekends (Fridays and Saturdays in Paris) plus four residential seminars (three outside France).
    • A modular track taught in English that lasts eighteen months, made up of eight six-day course modules, two five-day residencies and one ten-day residency. Course modules take place at Mannheim Business School in Germany and on ESSEC campuses at Paris La Défense and Cergy-Pontoise. Residencies take place in other countries.

'More than 27,000 alumni worldwide, many of them with top positions in multinational companies.'
