The Exeter MBA at the University of Exeter's School of Business and Economics in the southwest of England is a well-established programme that is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA). The programme challenges you and develops your capacity to solve and manage business problems in a global context. All of our teaching faculty members are research- and business-active, most of them at the highest level. Many of our professors have senior advisory roles in the UK Government and European business community. The result is a programme that is always up-to-date, inspiring and thought provoking. Centres of excellence
We have two highly regarded centres of excellence at the School: the Centre for Leadership Studies, and the Xfi Centre for Finance and Investment. These Centres attract senior managers from around the world to learn more about managing in a global environment.
The full-time and part-time MBA The Exeter MBA programme comprises of seven core modules, with three electives and a research project (dissertation). You can specialise in financial management, leadership, marketing management, tourism, entrepreneurship and innovation.
The modular MBA New for 2008, the modular MBA is aimed at working professionals wishing to develop themselves within their organisations. The programme has a heavy emphasis on personal effectiveness coaching, creating change across borders and taking on new business challenges.
Built on a human scale The University of Exeter is part of the 1994 Group, a group of 14 UK universities that includes Durham,Warwick, York and the London School of Economics. The universities in this group are small and medium-sized universities built on a human scale. Exeter is a campus university, offering students purpose-built accommodation, conveniently close to libraries and social facilities. The University is unaffected by the impersonal and bureaucratic culture of very large universities, and its MBA offers individual supervision and small-group teaching by some of Britain's most distinguished scholars and researchers.
A strong reputation The School of Business and Economics is ranked fouth in the UK for Business and Management in the 2008 Guardian University Guide. The school ranked first in the National Student Survey for both 2007 and 2006, and the university achieved the prestigious Times Higher University of the Year award for 2007-2008.
Exeter enjoys an excellent reputation in the UK for research, teaching quality, and support. The latest (2001) Research Assessment Exercise rated 98 percent of Exeter subject areas in the top grades (5*, 5, or 4), and the school received a 5 rating for accounting, finance, and economics.
