GISMA Business School in Hannover, Germany, offers unique, accelerated general management MBA programmes in co-operation with Purdue University in the USA. The programmes are accredited by the AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and offer an internationally top-ranked American MBA degree while studying in the heart of Europe. Starting with the 2008 academic year, graduates of GISMA Business School will also receive an European MBA degree from Leibniz University in Hannover. Programmes at GISMA The MBA programme This 11-month general management programme is an exciting alternative to a traditional two-year MBA. This full-time programme is divided into five modules of eight weeks each. The one-year time frame is demanding, but the solid foundation of core courses complemented by focused electives is an excellent preparation for students' further careers.
The case-study method, student consulting projects and GISMA's extensive career services ensure both close contact with international companies and real business-world experience. Being able to work in groups with fellow students from all over the world gives the programme's students the chance to enhance their intercultural and teambuilding skills. The programme is provided in co-operation with Purdue University's Krannert School of Management in Indiana, USA.
The IMM programme In collaboration with three other top business schools, GISMA offers a 22-month part-time Executive MBA programme: the IMM. This Executive MBA programme is designed for experienced professionals who wish to obtain both an American MBA degree from Purdue University and a European MBA degree. It is an ?on-the-job' programme, allowing for the combination of work and family life. It is aimed at managers with an average of eight years' work experience.
The IMM provides a broad general management education, with an emphasis on international business, to executives who presently have ? or are about to assume ? significant responsibilities in their organisations. It also provides an unusually rich environment for interaction through the variety of participants, who come from all over the world, the intensive residential character of the teaching sessions, and internet links to the IMM programme's faculty members, staff and fellow students during the non-residential intervals.
