University of Gloucestershire Business School
Overview Our heritage and our reputation are built on a concern for your personal development. The Business School started workplace education in 1834 and postgraduate awards in 1947. Today, we are one of the larger business schools in the country, with more than 2,000 undergraduate and 550 postgraduate students.
Peaceful and Spacious
Located just 15 minutes walk from the lively center of Cheltenham, the Business School is based at The Park on 24 acres of tranquil and spacious parkland that was originally a Victorian pleasure garden. Today, the green open spaces and wonderful trees create a relaxed space in which to socialize and study.
Cheltenham, with its 100,000 inhabitants, is a thriving commercial hub and a major cultural center. Famous for its festivals, it is a vibrant and cosmopolitan town, located approximately 90 miles (150km) west of London and 50 miles (80km) south of Birmingham.
Academic Strengths
Our Business School is a member of both the Association of Business Schools (ABS) and European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). The school's research was rated nationally excellent in the last Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) and our teaching has achieved the highest level of endorsement from the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).
Program Features
MBA classes are limited to 15 or 20 participants. Our programs assume a level of experience, and we recruit talented, creative individuals who wish to contribute to their own development and to that of their organizations. Course design emphasizes general management concerns, particularly decision and change. Personal development is always emphasized in our postgraduate teaching and we help students become confident, creative, and capable managers.
In addition to the MBA in business administration, we now also offer specialist MBAs in hospitality and sports management. Furthermore, we link to the International Management program of Hochschule Liechtenstein and Fachhochschule Vorarlberg.
Full details of the course content and fees for the MBA programs can be found on our Web site www.glos.ac.uk/business.
