Career history
When she started her first job after having completed a Bachelor in Economics, Veerada felt a big gap between the theoretical knowledge she had learnt at university and the capacities needed for real work life. Thus she decided to study an MBA program.

Four years ago, when I started thinking of my future career, I had totally no idea what it should be. I got a good job, soon after I got my Bachelor's degree in Economics. However, I felt working in real life was absolutely different from what I had ever thought. I realized that what I have learned was not applicable in reality. Therefore, I had the idea to explore something new which later could be beneficial for me, when returning to working life again.

I chose an MBA program because it combines different courses which help to see the whole picture of the business world. An MBA is not only learning from theories, it mainly focuses on the current situation. I have gained knowledge from many real case studies. In my opinion, the knowledge we gain from an education should applicable in reality. Being an MBA student encouraged me to read more newspapers and business magazines than before. This behavior was really beneficial to me when I started my career life after graduation.

My first impression of the MBA program International Busienss Consulting was that I met students from different parts of the world, who later became good friends of mine. All of them were qualified, matured and experienced in the business field. It was very interesting to study and do several project works with them because each one had a different point of view due to the different cultures and experiences. It was very challenging to know how to work with people from different backgrounds. Actually, it's all about negotiation and compromise.

As an MBA student, I was more disciplined than before because I was totally on my own. Lecturers would only guide you how to reach the goal. You are the one to do that. Therefore, the more reading and research I did, the more I learned.

Other than studying, I took this opportunity to get to know the German culture and enjoy several activities such as excursions, local festivals and sport activities. I had the great chance to get to know the German culture and meet local people. It is amazing to see how people from different cultures can get along with each others. This valuable experience cannot be found in any textbooks or lecture classes.

I must say that I have gained, more than I ever thought, in both academic and social aspect. The MBA program International Business Consulting turned me into a qualified person, who is well-educated, self-responsible and a professional problem-solver. At the same time, I learned how to work with other people as a team. From my point of view, the MBA program International Business Consulting is very useful to one who wants to be successful in the business world.

As a businessman, you have to contact many people, who probably come from different parts of the world. It is possible that conflicts can occur many times. The important thing is how to minimize these conflicts and end up with a desirable result. This skill needed to be gathered from personal experiences. For me, the MBA program gave me time to practice this skill by offering many group works and brain-storming sessions.

I have started my career shortly after graduation. I felt I was quite different from who I was before I did my Master degree. I see things in a broad perspective and deal with them professionally. Moreover, I know how to deal with colleagues and clients without any conflicts. I plan to work and gather some experiences until I think it's enough. Then I may either set up my own business or become a lecturer at university. Who knows?
