Focus on personal leadership development The USB's MBA is unique in the sense that it offers a leadership development process that is individualised for each student and that runs through the entire programme. It starts with an assessment of each student's leadership competencies and profile, after which a development plan is decided upon. Individual discussion sessions, class modules, the latest developments in leadership theory and reflective exercises form part of the package. The overall objective is to prepare students for leadership roles that will drive performance and create sustainable benefits.

Academic expertise and research Academics as well as experts who have distinguished themselves as local and international business leaders lecture on the USB's programmes. To create new knowledge and insights, the USB places a high premium on research by its faculty, students and research centres.
International participation Partnerships with over forty business schools in the UK, Europe, Australia and Asia lead to joint projects and the exchange of students and lecturers. This, combined with academic modules for visiting groups from its business school partners and an annual international study tour, promotes a multi-cultural learning experience and a continuous feed of new knowledge on local, African and international management and leadership issues.
Full-time MBA The USB MBA will equip participants with theory as well as real-world management and leadership competencies to work anywhere in the world. Specialisation opportunities are provided through electives, specialist areas and research reports. The full-time MBA programme at the USB requires one year of lectures. Participants also have to complete a research report in the period following completion of lectures. Admission requirements include relevant work experience and the successful completion of the SHL or GMAT selection test (Conditions apply. Please enquire). The academic year runs over four terms, starting mid-January and ending early in December.
