The International University in Geneva was founded with the aim of providing an international business education in a multicultural environment.

The city and its surroundings also host the headquarters of a variety of large multinational corporations such as Procter and Gamble, Hewlett Packard and Caterpillar

Multicultural student body
Studying in a multicultural environment brings many advantages to an education. The campus culture is enriched by international students from fifty-two countries. In addition, the students represent a diversity of academic and professional experience which enhances the participation in the classroom.

Focus of the curriculum
The University's programmes develop its students' leadership and managerial skills, and provide them with a curriculum that incorporates a contemporary view of global business issues. Its methods of instruction are innovative and underline the importance of gaining an international perspective on current management issues. The use of case studies and business simulations ensures the development of analytical skills that are critical in today's competitive and rapidly changing world.

Careers
The University has a network of corporate partners in the Geneva area, which is the location for the European headquarters of many organisations, including Hewlett Packard, Procter and Gamble, and the United Nations. During the academic year, guest lecturers from the business community are invited there. Through contacts with alumni of the University, students have access to a large number of businesses in Geneva.

The Faculty
The faculty at IUG is multidisciplinary in professional training, international in experience, practical in orientation, and focused on their teaching. The full-time faculty members are organized into unit coordinators, and the adjunct faculty members are drawn from other educational institutions in the area and from the business community.

Entry requirements
■ A bachelor's degree.
■ A minimum of two years' work experience.
■ GMAT and TOEFL exams.

Length of programme
■ Executive MBA: 24 months.
■ General MBA: one year (full time); 18 months (part time).

Modes of study
■ Executive MBA: part time only (Saturdays).
■ General MBA: full time or part time (evenings).

■ Executive MBA: 15.
■ General MBA: 30 (full time); 45 (part time).
