Choosing the University of Hawaii
I chose the University of Hawaii because of its well-known reputation for quality teaching, profound research activities, its diversity, and its strategic, geographic advantage of serving as the gateway between the East and the West. The university is also situated amid many of the largest companies operating in the Pacific Rim region, offering many unique opportunities to gain valuable insight and knowledge about a business environment that is increasingly becoming more significant from a global standpoint. University of Hawaii has a great faculty. Most of my tutors contributed a lot to their field and that is so motivating.

The MBA Program
The business school's core curriculum has been both comprehensive and challenging and has thus far provided me with a solid foundation of various business disciplines in finance, accounting, economics, and IT management. In all the classes I have taken, I've been able to cultivate and sharpen my abilities to articulate problems, evaluate alternatives, and most importantly, identify and strategize effective solutions that would be applicable in today's complex business environment.

I have learned to be loyal and supportive to my team. It is important that I be energetic and learn as much as I can, so that I can go ahead and be of greater value to my company and my field of interest.

A Wonderful Environment
Honolulu has awesome climate and the nature here is paradise-like. No matter which way you turn, there is hardly a place you would not like to take a picture of if you had a camera in your hands. Living in Honolulu does affect the way you perceive the world and takes your positive thinking to a higher level. Honolulu also offers a great diversity of cultures. I met people from all parts of the world here.

Preparing for the Future
The College of Business faculty is filled with distinguished professors who are well regarded in their fields and who are very accessible. The instructional resources and technology available to students are unparalleled. Moreover, the structure of the program is designed so that I can earn my master's degree while at the same time working and applying my business knowledge and training in a real business setting. The interaction with prominent professors, the access to resources and technology, and the program's accommodation of my current professional career have definitely brought me closer to my destination. My objective is to work in a major financial institution where I can apply and further develop my skills in financial management.
