Birmingham City University offers over 300 courses which are taught and supported by more than 2,000 staff. With over 25,000 students, it is one of the largest Universities in the UK. Birmingham City University has over 4,000 students and is a major centre for business, computing and management education. It has a strong regional base and a national and international perspective. It offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in business, computing and management, but also in more specialised areas such as Public Relations or Business Psychology, and programmes which bring together computing technical skills studied alongside business.

Entry Requirements Postgraduate programmes generally require a good Honours degree or equivalent in any discipline. We are prepared to offer places to candidates who have no formal qualifications but can demonstrate that they have the ability and experience to contribute to and benefit from the course.
Structure of course Taught Masters cover three stages: the Postgraduate Certificate stage, the Postgraduate Diploma stage and the Masters stage. Students must successfully complete all three stages to obtain a Masters but there is also the opportunity to do parts of the programme only, depending on prior study and circumstances.
Duration
Students are offered 2 routes on this Full-Time course, a 12 month route or an 18 month route, generally starting in September each year, although a January start is also possible depending on numbers.
Language of instruction The language of instruction is English so applicants who studied outside the UK are required to pass an internationally recognised English language test at the appropriate level. You are generally expected to have a score of at least 6.5 average on the IELTS test (or a minimum of 6.0 on all parts of the test) or TOEFL 575.
